Our story

I watched my mum disappear. Then I watched her come back.

Menopause Angels began with one woman who was ignored, one daughter who couldn't stand by, and a missing link nobody had told us about.

The mum I knew

My mum was the strongest person I knew. Warm, funny, the one everyone leaned on. Then, in her late 40s, something changed.

The anxiety came first. Then sleepless nights, a fog she couldn't think through, and a low mood so deep it frightened us both. At her worst, she told me she didn't want to be here anymore. I'll never forget that conversation.

"She wasn't the mum I'd known for years. And nobody could tell us why."

Unheard

She went to the doctor again and again. She was offered antidepressants, told it was stress, told it was "just her age". Each appointment ended the same way: ten minutes, a prescription, and the feeling that nobody was really listening.

So she stopped waiting for answers and went looking for them herself.

The missing link

Night after night, my mum read research papers, guidelines and studies. Slowly, a picture emerged. Her symptoms weren't random. They were hormonal. She was in perimenopause, and it had never once been mentioned.

With the right hormone care and a complete change in how she ate, focusing on protein, whole foods and the nutrients her body was missing, the woman I knew started to come back. First her sleep. Then her energy. Then her laugh.

What I wasn't taught

By then, I was training as a doctor, and here's what shook me most. At medical school, women's hormones were barely covered. Perimenopause got a few lines. The idea that it could cause anxiety, despair and thoughts of suicide in a woman who had never struggled before simply wasn't part of what we learned.

"If I wasn't taught it, how many other doctors weren't? And how many other mums were sitting where mine had sat?"

The answer, I discovered, was a lot. Women everywhere are struggling, unheard, and told to put up with it.

Why we became Menopause Angels

So we made a promise. My mum turned everything she had learned into nutrition, and I brought the medicine. Together, we built the clinic we wish she'd found: one where you're given time, where your symptoms are taken seriously, and where hormone care and food work together in one plan.

We're called Menopause Angels because that's what my mum needed back then. Someone to listen, someone to understand, and someone to help her find her way back.

"No woman should have to research her own way out. That's why we're here."

Your next chapter

This isn't the end of something. It's the start of your strongest years.

My mum didn't just get her life back. In her 50s, she's stronger, fitter and more energised than she was in her 40s. That's the part of the story nobody tells you: the right hormone care and nutrition aren't only about easing symptoms today. They're about protecting your health for the decades ahead.

  1. Stronger bones

HRT helps protect against bone loss and lowers the risk of osteoporosis and fractures.

  2. A healthier heart

Started in the right window, usually before 60, HRT doesn't raise heart risk and may help protect your heart.

  3. Stronger muscles

Hormones and protein work together to help you keep your strength as you get older.

  4. Steadier mood

Many women feel calmer, clearer and more like themselves again.

  5. Better sleep and energy

Easing night sweats and anxiety can transform your sleep, and your days.

  6. Feeling like you

Confidence, intimacy and the energy to enjoy life again.

  1. 40s Recognise the signs
  2. 50s Protect your body
  3. 60s and beyond Live strong

HRT isn't right for everyone, and every woman's benefits and risks are different. We'll talk it all through with you honestly, so you can decide what's right for you.
